Guillaume Rigal, Entrepreneur

From 2000 to 2003, I participated in the expansion of SafeLogic, a privately-owned technology start-up. As Head of New Product Development, I led the development of security software and services and undertook strategy and business development initiatives with clients (media, banking), influencers and investors. As a partner, I still advise them actively.

From 2003 to 2004, I worked as an independent consultant advising small companies, including Simplify.fr, a start-up specialising in medical services outsourcing. I devised for them a “go-to-market” strategy, creating the brand, communication material and initial online platform.

During this period, I also launched the beta version of BlogEra, a “weblog” publishing service.

Guillaume Rigal, MBA

In September 2004, I embarked on an MBA at London Business School to challenge myself, create new connections and develop my business acumen. This MBA has been an opportunity to switch to a marketing-oriented and international career.

During the summer break, I joined Mindshare (WPP), recommending segmentation schemes and media strategies for Unilever brands.

Upon graduation in July 2006, I joined American Express as a Marketing Manager on the 18-month International Marketing Rotation programme, starting in the London office with Sydney and New York to follow. This job has been a great opportunity to get international exposure in a corporate setting. On completion of the programme in Feb. 2008, I took a permanent position as Senior Manager for Interactive Development, SBS at the New York headquarters.
